Seedsticks are a great eco friendly promotional item. They’re printed full colour inside and out, using veg and soy inks, so there’s plenty of space for all your branding and contact information.

Seedsticks are made in the UK from 100% recycled greyboard and responsibly sourced wood from sustainably managed forests. They’re available in a wide range of flower, vegetable, herb and tree seeds to suit your needs.

Take a look at our step by step guide below showing how easy it is to plant your Seedsticks.

1

Open up your Seedstick packet and check which seeds you have.

The germination time will alter depending on the seed.

2

Find enough pots for your seeds. We reused some old plant pots, but you could use yoghurt pots, toilet roll tubes, or anything else you have to hand.

3

Fill your pots with compost, making sure to compact it down.

4

Label your pots so you know what’s in them, especially important if you’re growing more than one type of seed.

We used bamboo sticks – lolly sticks are also a great eco option, or you could write directly on the pot.

5

Carefully tear off a Seedstick and push it into the soil up to the line.

Make sure to space out the Seedsticks so they each have enough room to grow.

6

Give your seeds a good water. You will need to water them every couple of days when the soil looks dry.

7

Place your seeds in a warm, sunny spot such as a windowsill or greenhouse and watch them grow!

Once they are more established and it’s warmer outside, you can plant them out.

For our Purple Eco Month, we’re each having a go at planting some Seedsticks. Of course, this means it’s a competition! Who do you think will win?
