Growing wildflowers is an easy way we can all do our bit to look after the environment. Even the smallest patch of wildflowers will help feed the bees and butterflies, and create a space for insects to thrive and birds to feed. They also brighten up the area with a burst of colour!
You can create a wildflower patch in your flower beds, turn your lawn into a wildflower meadow, or simply fill a small pot or window box with a selection of wildflowers. Any size will make a difference.
British wildflowers include flowers such as: poppies, thistles, daisies, forget-me-nots, and lots more. Most wildflower seeds should be sown in March/April, so now is the perfect time!
